The Beleidsmonitor is a database within the meaning of the Dutch Databases Act (Databankenwet). This page describes what that means for its use.

1. Maker of the database

Het Strategiebureau has made a substantial investment in obtaining, verifying, organising and presenting the data and is therefore the maker of the database.

2. What falls under the database

  • All databases and registers, including the licence register and the policy register.
  • Analyses, classifications and signals.
  • Dashboards and compiled overviews.
  • Historical datasets and compiled time series.
  • AI analyses and automated summaries.
  • Comparisons between municipalities, files and documents.
  • Timelines and derived chronologies.
  • The developed database structures, links and identification keys.

3. What is not permitted

Extracting or re-utilising a substantial part of the database is not permitted. Repeated and systematic extraction of insubstantial parts is also prohibited where this amounts to exploiting a substantial part.

Without prior written permission, nothing from the database may be reproduced, republished, supplied onward or commercially re-used.

4. Underlying public sources

The underlying public government documents remain freely accessible at the source. The database right rests on the collection, enrichment and structure built up by us, not on the individual government documents themselves.

5. Requesting permission

If you wish to re-use data, for example for research or an integration, please request permission via beleidsmonitor@hetstrategiebureau.com.
